The purpose of The Lady Taverners ‘Spirit of Sport Award’ is to recognise and acknowledge young people with disabilities, between the ages of 6 and 16, who demonstrate a positive attitude to life through sport.
The winner of the award will be recognised as someone who displays the right spirit and positive qualities like, determination, commitment and sportsmanship when they play.
The award has been initiated by the Northern Ireland region of The Lady Taverners as part of their programme to help and encourage young people with disabilities to participate in sport and recreation. The award is supported by Northern Ireland’s main disability sports organisation, Disability Sport NI.
Three cash prizes will be awarded to the successful applicant’s sports club, organisation or school as follows:

1st Runner Up £100
2nd Runner Up £100
