All-Ireland Wheelchair Hurling Championships

Tue 31st October 2017

After coming runners up to Leinster in the National league, the young Ulster team were keen to improve. Following a number of training camps at Clonoe Comminity Centre, Tyrone and Magee Uni, Derry, the team was well prepared entering the games in Sligo on 14th October.

Ulster GAA enjoyed two good wins over Connacht and Munster to qualify for the Final against 2017 Inter-Provincial League Champions Leinster.  The final was a fiercely contested match, with both defences dominating, the teams were all-square right up to the final couple of minutes. Leinster finally made the breakthrough and went on to win but credit to both teams for a great display of skill and determination.
